This commandment is about thinking
about doing something. It leads to us breaking one of the other commandments.
If we covet our neighbor's car, it leads to stealing or cheating so we can get it or one like it. If we covet our
neighbor's wife, it leads to adultery. Therefore, we can sin by breaking this commandment without anyone knowing, but
God.
"You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not
covet your neighbor's wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your
neighbor.""
